Erwin Tulfo is a Filipino news anchor and radio and television presenter. Ulat Bayan, PTV’s premier evening news program, is where he currently works. He was the host of Tutok Tulfo and a former co-host of T3: Kapatid Sagot Kita! with his brothers Raffy and Ben, and one of Aksyon’s news anchors alongside News5 Chief Luchi Cruz-Valdes.

Marcos appoints Erwin Tulfo as DSWD secretary
His sister Wanda Tulfo Teo resigned from her position on May 8, 2018, after the Commission on Audit discovered that she authorized the placement of P60 million in tourism commercials to Kilos Pronto, a PTV-4 blocktimer show, despite the lack of a memorandum of arrangement or contract. Teo’s brothers Ben and Erwin Tulfo, both supporters of Rodrigo Duterte, create and host Kilos Pronto.
The Tulfo brothers then pledged to refund the 60 million pesos in their sister’s government funds. However, on June 17, 2018, it was reported that Erwin and Ben Tulfo had not yet returned the 60 million in government cash given to them by Wanda Teo during her tenure as tourism secretary. In August 2018, Trillanes announced that Erwin Tulfo, Ben Tulfo, and Wanda Teo would face plunder charges.
Tulfo launched an on-air rant against Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista on May 31, 2019, for refusing to do an interview with him.
Thousands of people signed a petition requesting that Tulfo apologize a few days later. Following the uproar, the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association expressed their support for Bautista, condemning Tulfo’s remarks against the Social Welfare Secretary and a former Philippine Army commander. According to the Supreme Court judgment in ERWIN TULFO v. PEOPLE, GR No. 161032, Erwin Tulfo was found guilty of four counts of libel beyond a reasonable doubt on September 16, 2008.
