The Mandaluyong local government is already in contact with the family of the security guard who was hit and run over by an SUV this Sunday.
According to Atty Jerusha Villanueva, chief of the City Legal Department, they have already referred the incident to the police.
“The matter is now being thoroughly investigated by our local police. We will make sure that the perpetrator is brought to justice,” he said.
They are also in contact with the victim’s family to help with hospital expenses.
The security guard who the SUV hit is still being observed at the hospital.
“We are also in the process of reaching out to Mr. Floralde, to extend the legal and financial assistance that he might need,” Villanueva added.
According to Mandaluyong police chief Col. Gauvin Unos, they had already identified the driver of the RAV4 who ran over the guard.
But the police refused to provide information about the driver, who will allegedly be charged with frustrated murder.
Meanwhile, the Land Transportation Office has suspended the motorist’s license who ran into the security guard.
Also, according to LTO Chief Asec. Edgar Galvante they have already sent the show cause order to the car owner’s family and they have received it.

They have also invited both the owner of the vehicle and the driver of the car to an investigation this Tuesday, June 7.
Senator-elect JV Ejercito also said that the father of the RAV4 driver has already contacted him and promised to cover all the costs of the victim’s treatment.
He said they are also ready to face any case filed against them.
Ejercito had earlier offered a P50,000 reward for providing information to the owner of the said vehicle.
The security guard was identified as Christian Joseph Floralde, who is currently recovering in a hospital.
In the dashcam shot, guard Floralde can be seen stopping a white SUV, but instead of stopping, it hit him.
Instead of getting off the SUV, the driver ran over the lying victim.
Floralde had difficulty breathing due to the injury sustained to the middle part of his body.
