Man allegedly rapes 4 public school teachers, 2 students in Camarines Sur

Four public elementary school teachers have positively identified the man wanted in the town of Sagñay, Camarines Sur, who allegedly stole and abused them at the school in the town of Ocampo on August 9.

He was identified as Enrique Algaba, a guard in Manila, but returned home to Brgy Turague, Sagñay, after losing his job due to the pandemic, said Police Captain Rosalinda Moises.

“In fact, pinakita doon sa Ocampo MPS but after two days nagpunta din po dito sa ano para magtingin pa po ng ibang pictures ng suspect … May CCTV footage po kami. Pinatingnan din po namin ’yun, and ayun positively identified po nila,” Moises said.

(In fact, it was shown there at Ocampo MPS, but after two days, he also went here to look at other pictures of the suspect… We have CCTV footage. We also had them look at it, and they positively identified him.)

The chief said that they are looking for Algaba because he allegedly raped two female students in Sagñay, ages 17 and 21.

The chief did not give any other details about it, but he confirmed that the victims were abused together, which seems to be the same style that the suspect used on the teachers.

It is said that there are arrest warrants against the suspect for his multiple rape and robbery cases in Sagñay and Ocampo.

Police are still confirming if the suspect is involved in illegal drugs.

“Para sa agarang pagkakadakip niya, humihingi na po kami ng tulong sa publiko. Kasi yung nangyari sa Ocampo, nagsagawa na rin ang Ocampo MPS ng hot pursuit sa kanya pero talagang madulas po ang suspek,” he said.

(We are asking for the public’s help for his immediate arrest. Because of what happened in Ocampo, the Ocampo MPS has also conducted a hot pursuit of him, but the suspect is really hard to catch.)

“Sino mang may impormasyon, kung saan ngayon naglalagi si Enrique Algaba, ay maaring makipag-ugnayan sa aming himpilan o di kaya’y tumawag sa numerong 0998-5985-997,” Sagñay Police said.

(Anyone with information on Enrique Algaba’s current whereabouts can contact our office or call 0998-5985-997.)

The police remind everyone to be careful with the suspect because he is said to be armed with a caliber .38 revolver.

Sagñay Mayor Jovi Fuentebella will reportedly offer a P50,000 reward to anyone who can provide information that will help arrest the suspect.
