Man arrested for allegedly stealing plant to sell online

A man was caught in an entrapment operation by the police on Saturday morning in Davao del Sur who allegedly stole crops and sold them online.

56-year-old Adelaida Eroja first reported the incident to the police.

She told the police that eight expensive plants were missing in her yard, and only flower pots were left.

It is said that all the missing plants cost P15,000.

Minutes after the theft incident was reported to the police, the victim’s son saw the plants already being sold on social media.

The entrapment operation was launched, and 26-year-old alias Arnulfo was arrested.

The plants were returned to the owner, and the suspect is now in the custody of the police for the corresponding investigation.

Alleged motorcycle thief arrested in Tondo

Police have tracked down the 38-year-old man allegedly suspected of stealing a motorcycle in Tondo, Manila, Monday.

A parking attendant of the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau said the victim was found missing with his motorcycle parked in front of their house on Abad Santos Street.

So he immediately reported to the District Anti-Carnapping Unit of the Manila Police District, who set up a flash alarm on the motorcycle.

In the CCTV backtracking in the area, they saw a man in a red jacket and black shorts who took the motor in front of the victim’s house.

The suspect was followed, driving it to their house, so his identity was found out.

The motorcycle was recovered, which was also identified by the victim.

The suspect will face charges of violating the Anti-Carnapping Law.

Meanwhile, police arrested 14 Chinese for allegedly illegal gambling in Angeles City on Saturday.

The operation was conducted on the second floor of a building in Friendship Highway, Brgy Pampang, where the authorities found some cards, chips, and money from playing poker.

“Pinuntahan natin yung venue, at ‘yung nga nakita namin na may naglalarong Chinese doon sa taas, kasama po nila yung mga private security po nila,” said Police Capt. Nijel Sanoy ng CIDG-Angeles City Field Unit.
