Man abducted in Batangas found dead in Quezon

A 25-year-old man was found dead in Quezon, a day after he was caught on CCTV being forced into a car by suspects while standing at a gas station in Batangas.

According to Police Regional Office 4A, this past Tuesday, the victim, Eugene Del Rosario, was abducted at a gas station in Barangay Mahabang Ludlod in Taal, Batangas.

The next day, his body was found on the side of Eco Tourism Road in Sitio Pontor Barangay Bignay 2 in Sariaya, Quezon.

Del Rosario’s face was covered and his hands were tied when he was found. He was shot in the head and back.

In CCTV footage at the gas station, the victim was seen getting off a bus at 7:53 p.m. on Tuesday. While standing on the side of the road, the suspects arrived in two vehicles and forcibly took the victim.

In a report by GMA News “24 Oras” this Thursday, the police said that their investigation revealed that the victim was involved in illegal activities.

“Ito pong asawa at ina ay nagbigay ng pahayag. Sinabi mismo na ito ay isa sa miyembro ng mga ‘Bukas-Kotse’ gang na nambibiktima dito sa ating probinsya at mga karatig-bayan,” said Taal, Batangas Police Station Chief Major Dante Majadas.

The police investigation continues to determine who is behind the terrorizing of the victim.

Authorities are still trying to obtain the statement of the victim’s relatives, according to the report.

Man shot dead in Candelaria, Quezon

A man died on the spot after being shot at close range in Candelaria, Quezon.

In the CCTV footage from GMA Regional TV Balitang Southern Tagalog aired on Unang Balita, the victim can be seen walking on the side of the road, and a man wearing a red t-shirt is following him.

When the victim was caught, the suspect immediately pulled out a gun and shot his target in the back of the head.

The assailant immediately fled. The victim, identified as Enrique Montilla, died on the spot due to two bullet wounds to the head.

According to the police, it seems that the suspect was waiting for the victim.

Gambling and love triangles are the angles police are looking at in crime.

The shooting is under investigation.
