Senator Panfilo Lacson denied removing Sen. Richard Gordon and former Vice President Jejomar Binay from their senatorial slate.
Lacson said they think the two continue to abide by their gentlemen’s agreement, unlike the two they had previously dropped.
Based on their conversation, he said, their senatorial candidates can be included in the tickets of other candidates as long as they do not openly endorse the opposing candidate for the presidency and vice presidency.
Lacson clarified that so far, they have 11 senatorial candidates.
The senator made the statement after Binay tweeted that he would no longer be the guest candidate of the Lacson-Sotto ticket.
He is said to be following their agreement that he will not declare support for any opponent of the two, and he will not attend any gathering of candidates.
He also said that if there was an issue that he could not talk to, Lacson and Sotto knew his number and said good luck to the two.
Sen. Sherwin Gatchalian and former Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista were first removed from the Lacson-Sotto slate list. They are now on the senatorial slate of the Marcos-Duterte tandem.
El Shaddai endorses Eleazar for senator
El Shaddai, one of the major religious groups led by Bro Mike Velarde, has endorsed the senatorial candidacy of former PNP chief Gen Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar under the Reform Party.
During the El Shaddai activity held in Parañaque City, Velarde stressed that Filipinos must be intelligent and careful in selecting and electing leaders in the country.
He said unity is needed and followed the Latin saying “Vox Populi, Vox Dei,” which means “voice of the people is the voice of God.”
On the other hand, Eleazar thanked Velarde for his trust and recognition to be among the senators who would unite the Filipinos. He said he would not destroy the trust of Velarde and El Shaddai in serving the people because dignity and integrity are essential to him.
Eleazar aims to enhance peace and order in the country further so that every Filipino can feel safe in the place they live in and see the importance of family.
