Kylie Verzosa said that she would take a rest after she broke up with actor Jake Cuenca.
In a vlog released by veteran comedian and talent manager Ogie Diaz on Monday morning, Verzosa shared that work is her priority now.
“Pahinga muna ang puso. Pahinga muna. Work muna. Balik-work,” Verzosa said when asked while attending the campaign rally for the Leni Robredo-Kiko Pangilinan tandem.
When asked what she can say to lovers who are going through something like her, the actress replied: “Kaya niyo ‘yan. Take it a day at a time. Feeling ko time will heal all wounds.”
“At saka nagpapasalamat talaga ako sa lahat. Nagpapasalamat lang talaga ako sa lahat ng nangyari,” the actress said.
Kylie Verzosa admits that she and Jake Cuenca have not spoken again after their breakup.
“Pahinga muna. Focus muna…. work muna and career,” she said.
It will be recalled that the rumor that Verzosa and Cuenca were separated resounded when the actress tweeted “Broken.”
The issue escalated further when the actress couldn’t help but cry in a segment of “It’s Showtime” when they talked about a participant’s breakup.

Verzosa, along with Ruffa Gutierrez and Chie Filomeno, is one of the judges for the week’s pageant section, “Showtime Sexy Babe.”
During the interview segment, contestant Jannarose Campanero, who discussed her personal experience, brought up the topic of breakups.
Vice Ganda, the show’s host, then speculated on how couples can tell the difference between typical disagreements and signals of impending breakups. He solicited input from his co-hosts, Vhong Navarro and Ogie Alcasid, and eventually urged Verzosa to add her two cents.
Verzosa, on the other hand, was unable to speak and instead covered her face. Verzosa, unable to control her emotions, sobbed and continued saying “sorry,” prompting Gutierrez, Filomeno, and Vice Ganda to comfort her.
They decided not to press Verzosa for an explanation. However, she did make an said, “Na-touch lang ako.”
And just this Saturday, April 23, through a post on social media, Jake Cuenca admitted that he and Kylie Verzosa have broken up.
