Kylie Padilla, Aljur Abrenica working on co-parenting setup after breakup

Actress Kylie Padilla said she and Aljur Abrenica are working on their co-parenting setup for their two sons after they have broken up.

Kylie broke her silence after his father, Robin Padilla, confirmed in an interview that she and her husband, actor Aljur have separated. 

“Every family goes through a lot of challenges, and sometimes we think that it is only the couple that goes through the ordeal. We forget the kids and people that are involved,” she said.

Kylie said their family has gone through the “process of recovering, healing, and moving on” in the past few months.

“All we need right now is respect—first and foremost on the decisions we have made as a family and respect for each and every member of our family—to Aljur who is the father of my two wonderful boys, most especially to Alas and Axl who are at this point very fragile, and to our families from both sides who have guided us along the way,” she said.

The Kapuso actress said she and Aljur were working on a co-parenting arrangement.

“Aljur and I are working on a healthy co-parenting relationship together for our boys’ sake,” she said.

“We pray and hope that we will become better persons through this experience and will bring out the best in all of us. Thank you for your love and support,” she added.

Veteran actor Robin Padilla admitted that his daughter Kylie Padilla and her husband Aljur Abrenica have separated due to a third party.

In the vlog of talent manager and actor Ogie Diaz, Padilla recounted that Kylie herself broke up with her husband.

“Noon pa lagi kong tinatanong si Kylie, ‘Agrabyado ka ba? Hindi naman daw. ‘Okay lang ako pa.’ Eto, tinanong ko uli, ‘Anak, agrabyado ka ba?’ ‘Hindi, Pa, ako ang nakipaghiwalay, e,’” said Robin.

According to the action star, a third party was the reason for the breakup of Kylie and Aljur, something that he understands as a man, especially since he also cheated many times before.

The issue of Kylie Padilla and Aljur Abrenica’s alleged breakup became a hot topic in February after the actress seemed to be suggesting on her social media account. It was even followed by a photo of Kylie not wearing a wedding ring.
