Kris Aquino says his Kuya ‘Noy forgave her

Kris Aquino has always been open about the dispute between him and his older brother, former President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III. Despite the grief, the actress is thankful that they made peace before the former leader passed away.

Speaking to reporters this Thursday afternoon at Heritage Park in Taguig City, Kris announced some plans related to the burial of the former president.

“He could have been lying in state in Malacañang pero nirerespeto namin na hindi lahat ng tao sa PIlipinas ang nababakunahan, so what we have decided as a family right now, we know that there are people waiting outside. We spoke about it our plan was really to take the urn of our brother with us pero bibilisan lang namin dito,” Kris Aquino said.

“The rest of the plans ay ‘yun palang napapag-usapan namin pasensya na hindi talaga namin inaakala mangyari. Nagulat kaming lahat,” she added.

They plan to lay Noynoy’s ashes next to the graves of their parents, former President Cory Aquino and former senator Ninoy Aquino at the Manila Memorial Park in Parañaque on Saturday.

On Noynoy Aquino’s Facebook page, it was said that there would be a one-day public viewing of Noynoy’s ashes at the Church of the Gesu inside Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City.

It will be held from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm.

But due to the pandemic situation, those who go are advised to follow the health protocol to be implemented by the government.

During Kris Aquino’s address to the media, she said that she gets along with Noynoy in May.

“God blessed me, because we made our peace,” she said.

“That is private. I would like to keep that for myself. But I am so grateful na binigay iyon sa akin,” she added.

Kris even said that her older brother forgave her and recognized her as the youngest brother.

“Nagpapasalamat ako na napatawad ako at minahal ako, and to the end, ang tinuring niya sa akin ay ako ang kaniyang bunso,” said Kris.

“Ipinangako ko sa kaniya na gagawin ko ang lahat to just be even one percent of what he is as a man and as a Filipino,” Kris Aquino said.
