Young prolific writer and filmmaker Darryl Yap was shocked and saddened when the issue involving couple Kit Thompson and Ana Jalandoni came to his knowledge.
The violent incident took place between the two actors on Friday, March 19, 2022, at the Amega Hotel, Tagaytay City, Cavite.
Ana and Kit are both close to Darryl Yap.
She worked with Paglaki Ko, Gusto Kong Maging Pornstar in 2020 and she was Kit’s director on Sarap Mong Patayin last year.
“I’ve got the chance to talk to Ana. It was a thirty-minute conversation and then, I also got the chance to send somebody to Tagaytay to visit Kit. I also got the chance to hear his side.
“It’s just unfortunate na Friday kasi nailagay dun [Tagaytay Detention Center] si Kit.
“And Saturday, Sunday, hindi naman puwedeng maglabas, so Monday na siya, if possible, makakaalis doon,” Daryl Yap said.
“I’m just deeply saddened because both of them are real good friends of mine. From the beginning of the relationship, I know everything.
“It’s just that on Ana’s side, ang pagkakakuwento niya sa akin was everything was whirlwind. Everything was just a product of reaction.
“Ang nangyari kasi, according to Ana, nag-react si Kit based on emotions, hindi siya nag-react based on facts or kung ano talaga yung nangyayari during that time.
“Everything happened kasi because they were drinking. Bigla na lang nagkaganoon ang nangyari.
“It was actually prompted by Ana being so lasing, nakatulog sa hall ng hotel so Kit had these interpretations of that situation.

“Hindi pa ako makapagbigay ng buong detalye kasi alam ko, papasok na sa legal.
“Sa side naman ni Kit, it was just so hard for him to learn things and to swallow them all at once.
“I don’t want to lawyer [for] him pero his words like, ‘Direk, nagulat lang ako. I’m just a man trying to understand everything but everything that was given to me at my face was just too much.’ Something like that.
“Both of them are my friends. Both of them, I truly love. I just can’t give details because it would be exhibited on the case…lalabas din naman sa kaso, so I don’t think it’s proper for me to divulge.
“Sooner or later, everything will be put into light. It’s just a matter of them fighting for the real reason why it happened.
“Pero sabi ko nga kay Kit, no matter what the reason is, with the pictures that came out. Parang feeling ko, it will not pacify the public because kahit ano pa ang dahilan, parang sobra yung naranasan ni Ana.
“But of course, only them know what the truth really is, so I wish them well.” Daryl Yap said.
