Kenneth Egano dies four days after falling into a coma

Saranggani boxer Kenneth Egano passed away this Wednesday, a few days after he was comatose after his fight in Cavite last Saturday, which he won.

The 22-year-old Egano figured he finished the eight-round bout against Jason Facularin held at the Imus Sports Gymnasium in Imus, Cavite.

But before the winner was revealed, Egano moaned in a dizzy state until he lost consciousness. When the result of the match was announced, Egano won via unanimous decision.

In a report by Cedric Castillo on GMA News “24 Oras” this Thursday, head coach Dexter Benatero said that Egano is in good condition and underwent a medical test before the match.

Kenneth Egano was said to be comatose when he arrived at the hospital due to a blood clot in his head.

Pagbalik niya bukas doon, bangkay na,” she added.

The production company behind the Blow-by-Blow fight card assured that they would help the Egano family.

They are also contacting the airlines to bring Kenneth Egano’s remains home to Sarangani.

According to Barrea, Manny Pacquiao paid the expenses.
