In a report by Mariz Umali on GMA News “24 Oras” on Wednesday, the suspect was identified as Dennis Bendecio. He can be seen in the video inviting the 24-year-old victim “Grasya” several times to go to a hotel.
“Saglit lang one hour lang… Hanap tayong hotel,” the rider told Grasya.
The JoyRide rider also touched the victim’s thigh.
Grasya rejected the suspect’s offer and told him she would just go home.
The motorcycle taxi rider asked her to go to the hotel many times.
Grasya was calm at first, but she fought back later on.
“Masyado na pong offensive ‘yan. Masyadong malapit na po sa ano ko ‘yung hawak mo, kuya,” the victim said.
The JoyRide rider seemed to come to his senses when the female passenger was about to get off, and the suspect apologized profusely.
“Baka i-report mo ako ma’am, sorry po ah,” said Bendecio.

In an interview with GMA News, Grasya said that she felt afraid that the rider might take her to a dark place.
“Parang iba na ‘yung gagawin niya, so natatakot na po ako. ‘Yung kamay ko nanginginig-nginig na. Nu’ng namimilit na po siya at that time, nasa isip ko po na baka idaan ako sa madilim. Nakaka-trauma,” said Grasya.
“Baka mas mapahamak ako or baka mahagip ako or mapilayan. Pumasok po ako sa bahay tapos doon ako nag-iiyak. Mga one hour na po nahimasmasan na po ako. That’s the time na pumunta kami sa police station ng Valenzuela,” she said, adding she thought of jumping off the motorcyle.
JoyRide condemned the actions of Bendecio, who was fired from his job as a rider.
“We have banned our Kasundo biker Dennis Bendecio. We do not condone, we do not tolerate, and we certainly do not accept this kind of illicit activities,” said JoyRide SVP Noli Eala.
