John Riel Casimero denies molesting a 17-year-old girl

WBO bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero vehemently denied the allegation that he allegedly molested a minor.

The said complaint against the Filipino boxing champ is allegedly related to the case of “acts of lasciviousness” and violation of RA 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act) because the alleged victim is 17-years-old.

The incident allegedly happened last year at a hotel, but only last February was the complaint filed against Casimero.

“I vehemently deny any accusations thrown at me regarding a blotter concerning an alleged female minor and vow to clean my name for not only myself and my family, but also my country, the Philippines,” the boxer said in his statement.

Casimero added that he, and his legal team, have not yet received any complaint from the court regarding the said allegation against him.

“I have been instructed by my legal team to not directly address any news media outlets due to the fact that to date, there has not been any criminal charges brought forth for me or my legal team to respond to,” the boxer said.

“But being that my name has been defamed, slandered, and surrounded by fabricated stories circulated by journalists and vloggers whose only intention is to destroy my good name as the WBO World Champion representing the Philippines, I believe I have the right to state my truth and allow truth to prevail,” Casimero added.

John Riel Casimero’s brother and trainer, Jayson, had earlier said that the allegation against the champion was fabricated.
