“You’ve taught us and, more importantly showed us what is to be a man of faith, a man of integrity , a man who delights and rejoices in the Lord always, a man who commits his way to Him, a man who trusts in the Lord with all his heart,” Jinkee Pacquiao said.

Jinkee stated Manny “fought the good fight day and night” during the campaign, implying the hardships they endured.

“I chose to love with you,” she continued. “Ang pagmamahal mo para sa ating bansa at kababayan, your heart of gold is something na sobrang precious and rare.”

“The next administration won’t be successful if the resentment and bad blood continue… We need to unite and stand behind the next chosen one by the people,” Mayor Isko said in Filipino in a livestreamed press briefing on his Facebook page.

“The Filipino won. Let’s thank God [that] we have shown the world that democracy in our country remains,” he also said. “Let us respect the vote of our fellow people – poor, middle class, rich – they have one vote. Our vote is their vote, it’s equal.”
