Jinggoy Estrada allegedly threatens batchmate who will not vote for him

Senatorial candidate Jinggoy Estrada and his batchmate Jose Prats trended online.

In a Viber screenshot circulating online, Estrada can be seen asking for help from his batchmate to vote and support him in his run for senator.

“Dear classmates/batchmates, I am once more seeking your valuable support in this upcoming elections as I am again gunning for a Senate seat. As you well know, I became your senator from 2004-2016 and unfortunately lost in the last elections because of the issues hounding me,” said Estrada.

He further asserted his good standing among survey firms other than Pulse Asia, which is only 11th. So, he said, he is asking for help to campaign for more.

“Having said that, once elected in the Senate, rest assured that I will enact bills that will benefit the greater majority of our people. Thank you so much and I hope to solicit your valuable votes on May 9. OBF!!!” he added.

Prats also immediately calmed down and boldly said that he would not vote for Jinggoy Estrada and did not believe in his “false promises.”

“Since you sent a message to our batchmates then let me be the first (and maybe the only one) to declare that I will NOT vote for you. I do not believe in your promises nor the false promises being given by your party of jr-sira. And that is an understatement,” Prats replied to Estrada’s message.

In appreciation of the conduct of a Catholic and Christian, Prats said he would continue campaigning for Vice President Leni Robredo, Senator Francis Pangilinan, and its senatorial slate.

“Game over Mr. Prats! Magandang araw sa iyo! Pagpalain ka ng Diyos!” Jinggoy Estrada replied.

But contrary to the message left by Estrada in their group chat, Estrada allegedly personally attacked Prats in a direct message.

“Bastos ka pala hayop ka! Yan pala ang itinuro sa iyo ng Ateneo! Shame on you! Sana ginulpi na kita nung HS pa tayo eh. Ano na tisoy? Wag kang bastos G*go!” said Jinggoy Estrada in his personal message to Prats.

Prats defended the Ateneo and said that it should first look at its behavior before attacking the university.

“Jinggoy, I will not stoop down to your level. And before you tell me about Ateneo education and its values I would suggest you look at yourself in the mirror to determine if you truly embody the Ateneo value and its thrust for being Man For Others,” he said.
