The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (Cordillera Office) has arrested 51-year-old Massimo Proietti, an Italian wanted for estafa (swindling).

Proietti was arrested on a warrant issued by Judge Glenda Ortiz-Soriano of the Baguio City Municipal Circuit Trial Court Branch #2.

The warrant was served to Proietti at his home in Woods Gate Subdivision in Baguio City.

The Italian is being charged for violation of Article 316 of the Revised Penal Code, also known as Estafa.

Proietti is being held at the CIDG Baguio City office pending his presentation in court on the charges brought against him.
