PAL’s new flight services out of Clark, Davao and Cebu are another step to creating a truly interconnected flight network for the Philippines

The Philippines is set to become much more interconnected as Philippines Airlines (PAL) announces new routes from Clark, Davao and Cebu.

From October the national carrier will start flying between Clark and Basco, in Batanes, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

PAL is also launching flights between the airport near Angeles City and Bacolod on the same days.

There will also be a new daily service between Clark and Tagbilaran and flights to and from Cagayan de Oro every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

New services are also scheduled for Davao, with flights to and from Tagbilaran City on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from December.

A new route is also opening between the southern city and Zamboanga on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and daily flights to and from Cagayan de Oro.

Meanwhile, Cebu is getting four new daily routes to and from Ozamiz, Siargo, Camiguin and Legaspi, in Albay.

PAL president Jaime J Bautista said: “These new flights aim to ensure connectivity of Filipinos and foreign travellers across the country’s regions. Our trademark heartfelt service and inflight amenities ensure a pleasant and comfortable travel experience.”

As we recently reported, Cebu Pacific is also extending its domestic coverage with new services between Clark and Kalibo – the nearest airport to the tourism hot-spot of Boracay – as well as services between Cagayan de Oro and both Caticlan and Dumaguete.

The airline is also launching new routes between Davao and both Dumaguete and Tacloban.

The new Davao routes join existing Cebu Pacific services to Cebu, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Iloilo, Zamboanga and Manila — the last of which is now served by four daily flights.
