Inmate killed over hung clothes

A 21-year-old inmate was killed in a provincial jail in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, after his fellow prisoner stabbed him to death because of hung clothes on Thursday.

The two argued and fought until they reached their cell, where the suspect stabbed Buscas with an improvised knife used in handicraft making.

The jail guards rescued the inmate and rushed him to the hospital, but he also died of a stab wound to the head and chest.

Investigators found that the victim who was charged with carnapping has previously been in dispute with the suspect. The suspect had been jailed for frustrated homicide.

The suspect was identified as Eric Castillon, 54.

According to police, Castillon had been drinking with his friends, and when he got drunk, he called the five victims who were playing.

The victims said to the police the suspect gave them P20 each. The carpenter then put them on his lap and touched the different parts of their bodies.

The children told their parents what happened, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest. Castillon, meanwhile, denied the allegations against him.
