Husband shoots dead wife’s lover

A man shoots dead a man who allegedly has an affair with his wife in Ilocos Sur. After the crime, the suspect fled with his wife.

In a report by Ivy Hernando on GMA Regional TV “Balitang Amianan” on Wednesday, two bullet wounds killed the 30-year-old victim identified as Michael Angelo Balaroso, of Zone 5, in Bantay, Ilocos Sur.

During the police investigation, it was said that the victim came to the rented house with his partner, who hid under the name “Karen.”

But the suspect, Ian Christian Carte, Karen’s husband, also suddenly arrived.

The victim and the suspect had a heated argument until Carte allegedly shot Balaroso.

After the crime, CCTV cameras saw the suspect riding a motorcycle with Karen.

Authorities arrested the suspects on their way to Magsingal town. The gun believed to have been used in the crime was confiscated from him.

According to Police Major Pol Areola, OIC of the Bantay Police Station, Carte also had a bullet wound in his hand that also came from the suspect’s gun, so he was taken to the hospital.

Carte refused to give a statement, but Karen admitted she had an affair with the victim.

The relatives of the victim, on the other hand, want justice for what happened to Balaroso.


Police asset shot dead

A 35-year-old woman who was allegedly an asset by the police died when she was shot in the back by an unidentified assailant in an alley in Tondo, Manila, yesterday morning.

The deceased was identified as Rowelda Eulalio of Area D, Gate 16, Parola Compound, Tondo.

The culprit quickly fled, wearing an orange shirt and a blue jacket.

According to the Manila Police District-Homicide Section, the crime occurred at 5:35 a.m. in an alley in Parola Compound. Eulalio was walking alone when she was shot from behind by the perpetrator based on the CCTV footage that captured the video of the incident.

The residents of the area and her partner helped to rush Eulalio to Gat. Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, but he did not survive.
