How to apply for PCSO medical assistance online

The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced Wednesday it is now accepting online applications for medical assistance amid the closure of its main and extension offices due to the COVID-19 threat.

“The agency, adhering and complying to the Bayanihan to Heal as One Act, emphasizes and strengthens this auxiliary role, especially in providing healthcare to Filipinos, bearing a part of the weight and augmenting government efforts in these strained and challenging times,” PCSO General Manager Royina Garma said.

This online application system is intended to secure financial assistance from the PCSO with the premise of augmenting the costly medical expenses. It operates on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Provision of assistance is based on the Implementing Rules and Regulation of the Medical Access Program, but it is limited to the following:

  • Confinement
  • Chemotherapy
  • Dialysis Treatment
  • Erythropoietin Injection (EPO)
  • Hemo / Peritoneal Treatment
  • Medicines for Hemophilia
  • Medicines for post transplant procedure
  • The applicant is responsible for securing the original documentary requirements,
  • encoding basic information, scanning, and uploading of the said documents.

How to apply for PCSO medical assistance online

  • File the application and secure a reference number.
  • The PCSO Charity Assistance Department will process the request and provide financial assistance through the Claim Slips or Guarantee Letters.
  • The patient or their representative should print the Claim Slips or Guarantee Letters and present them to the hospital or partner health facility, together with the original documents.
  • The hospital or partner health facility will surrender the documents to the Charity Assistance Department for the processing of payment.

As per the guidelines, PCSO will accept and process requests from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. only given the curfew hours of the local government units.

Metro Manila residents shall submit and process their applications at the PCSO main office.

Important Reminders

The Hospital or Partner Health Facility (hospitals/ dialysis center/ accredited suppliers) has the right to deny the requested assistance through Claim Slips or Guarantee Letters.

All provided information is subject to the validation of the PCSO Charity Assistance Department of Social Workers.

Multiple attempts done deliberately to circumvent the system to secure financial assistance shall be ground for denial of financial aid.
