How to Apply CSC Online Job Fair 2020

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) would be conducting an online job fair 2020 for five days in September as it commemorates the 120th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary, said Commissioner Aileen Lizada on Monday.

The online job fair 2020 would be held September 14 to 18 in partnership with JobStreet.

“Good news po sa mga naghahanap ng trabaho. We have more or less 729 job vacancies involving 76 government agencies,” Lizada said during the Laging Handa briefing.

Guidelines on CSC Online Job Fair 2020

1. The job applicant must have an account with the JobStreet.com. If the applicant has no account, the applicant must create an account by visiting JobStreet.com.ph. Simply click the “Free Sign Up” icon flashed on the screen and follow the instructions provided by the system;

2. In the web browser, key in http://www.csc.gov.ph/. Click the icon/banner 2020 Government Online Career Fair (GOCF) to be redirected to the GOCF Landing Page;

3. Download the Personal Data Sheet (PDS) (Excel format) in the same page and accomplish the data required in the PDS and upload to e-resume’ (one time);

4. View participating agencies and access their job listings to choose preferred positions to apply; and

5. Submit application through Apply Button located at the bottom page of the agency posting.

(Note: The agency shall conduct the initial assessment and notify the job applicants through email or text message the status of the application and/or additional instructions or requirements to be complied by the applicant.)

Any applicant claiming to be a first time jobseeker as contemplated in the First Time Jobseekers Act must secure and present barangay certification stating that he/she is a first time jobseeker.

The applicant must be a Filipino citizen, actively looking for employment and resident of the barangay issuing the barangay certification for at least six (6) months.

The validity of the barangay certificate shall be one (1) year from the issuance.

A recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey showed 45 percent of adult Filipinos were jobless in July amid the continuous increase of COVID-19 cases and implementation of community quarantines in the country.

The survey was conducted from July 3 to 6, with 1,555 respondents. Results showed unemployment increased by 28 points from 17.5 percent in December 2019, and a new record-high since the 34.4 percent in March 2012.
