Hair, blood on red SUV match DNA profile of Catherine Camilon’s parents

It was confirmed that the missing beauty queen Catherine Camilon was taken in the abandoned red SUV after matching the DNA profile of her parents in the blood and hair found in the said vehicle.

“Hair strands at blood na nakita dun sa sasakyan ay nag-match dun sa DNA profile na binigay ng magulang ni Ms. Catherine Camilon,” according to PNP Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Major General Romeo Caramat Jr., in Marisol Abdurahman’s report on GMA News “24 Oras” this Monday.

Because of this, Caramat said that the two witnesses were telling the truth about the woman they saw bleeding and being transferred to the said red SUV.

“’Yung mga witness natin ay di nagsisinungaling. There is a corroborative evidence na talagang nakita nilang babae na binubuhat ng mga suspek natin ay certainly si Ms. Camilon,” the official said.

“Mas bumigat yung kaso na sinampa natin doon sa mga suspek dahil nagtutugma ‘yung mga sinabi ng mga witnesses natin,” he added.

Blood swabs and strands of hair were found in the vehicle. To find out if the blood and hair belonged to Camilon, the authorities took samples from Camilon’s relatives for comparison.

According to two witnesses, they saw a bloodied woman being transferred to a red vehicle, which matched the description of the abandoned SUV.

Camilon was last seen walking inside a mall in Bauan, Batangas on October 12.

According to the CIDG, de Castro allegedly admitted that he was in a relationship with Camilon.

Based on the information obtained by the CIDG, it is said that de Castro was the one who met Camilon the day he disappeared to separate because the policeman already has a family.

Aside from the complaint filed with the fiscal, de Castro is also facing an administrative case that could lead to his dismissal from service.
