The government targets to have digital ID those who have completed the vaccine against COVID-19.
Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles said it is important that the QR Code be given to the vaccinated.
“What we want really is a QR code, digital…The digital vaccination ID card will be very important,” said Nograles at the ANC’s Headstart.
Currently, local government units issue cards to those vaccinated, which also serve as their records.
The card contains information on the brand of the vaccine, how many doses were given, and when and where it was received.
Nograles also said they are already discussing what benefits those who have completed the vaccine will get against those still not vaccinated.
He said the promotion includes not undergoing RT-PCR tests whenever going to tourist destinations.
According to Nograles, the task force is also monitoring other countries with vaccine passports.

The Department of Health (DOH) and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) are already working together for a COVID-19 vaccine passport that can be used on the journey of those who have completed the vaccine, according to Malacañang.
According to presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, having a “uniform passport” that everyone can recognize will help domestic and even international travel.
“Talagang makakatulong ‘yan hindi lang sa domestic travel pati sa international travel. At sinasabi ko nga siguro magkakaroon ng uniform passport na kikilalanin ng lahat,” said Roque.
Roque also believes that the vaccine passport will be the way to return to normal.
DOH- Disease Prevention and Control Bureau Dir. Nikka Hao said they are already in contact with the World Health Organization, the Department of Health, and the Department of Information and Communications Technology.
