According to Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) personnel, the one-year-old toddler and his 13-year-old older brother were asleep when a part of their room suddenly caught fire.

The older brother ran out of the house to ask for help. The child was left inside.

The fire quickly consumed the house because it was made of light materials, BFP added, and they said it was difficult to enter the area because the road was narrow.

In a report by James Agustin in “Unang Balita” on Wednesday, it was said that the firefighters helped to put out the fire at Pingkian 2-A of Barangay Pasong Tamo, which broke out at midnight on Tuesday.

The fire allegedly spread quickly to nearby houses made of light materials.

It was said that it was difficult for the firefighters to enter because the road to the burning houses was congested.

According to the BFP, nearly 20 houses were set on fire, and 45 families were affected.

The fire reached its second alarm and was extinguished around 1:21 a.m. this Wednesday.
