Gigo to mother Claire dela Fuente after being acquitted of case: ‘Mom, we did it’

Gregorio ‘Gigo’ de Guzman offered his bereaved mother Claire dela Fuente the dismissal of the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office in the case filed by the police against him and 10 others in connection with the death of flight attendant Christine Dacera.

“Today’s resolution lifted some of the weight these past 6 months. But the damage has been done. It’s still not completely over, but at least for today we can breathe a sigh of relief,” said Gigo in his Instagram stories.

He said Gigo was relieved when the Office of the Prosecutor General dismissed the rape with homicide complaint filed against them by the police due to “lack of probable cause.”

The prosecutor did not find enough evidence to take the respondents to court and prosecute the alleged complaint in connection with what happened to Christine on January 1.

It will be recalled that Christine was seen not moving in the bathtub of a hotel in Makati after celebrating the New Year, along with friends who were also attended by Gigo.

Although Gigo is not with his mother, who passed away in March due to complications with COVID-19, he offered his acquittal in the case to Claire dela Fuente.

“For the first time, I went to Makati City hall without my mom… And I truly felt her absence. As the guys talked about give their copies to their parents to give them a sense of comfort, I wished I could hand mine to her,” said Gigo.
