Fully vaccinated may enter Oriental Mindoro without RT-PCR test

Travelers who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will enter Oriental Mindoro even if they do not have an RT-PCR test.

This is following Executive Order No. 30 series of 2021 released by the provincial government on Monday.

According to the EO, it is only necessary to present the vaccination card in hand upon arrival, proving that the 2nd dose of COVID-19 vaccine has been received.

A copy of this can also be accompanied by registration with the S-Pass before traveling.

The provincial government assigns the city or municipal disaster risk reduction and management office to review vaccination certificates.

Oriental Mindoro LGU grants residual authority to authorized persons outside residence (APOR) for consideration for humanitarian travel purposes.

On Friday, the provincial information office announced areas that require a vaccination certificate before entering the province and each town.

Exactly 7 days ago, the neighboring province of Occidental Mindoro also issued the same order allowing the entry of fully vaccinated individuals.

But according to the provincial government, it is necessary first to contact the destination local government unit () and submit the necessary documents for S-pass registration 72 hours before traveling.

It is also necessary to send a vaccination card or certificate with details of the traveler’s vaccination.

Health assessment teams are on standby at all ports in Matabang, Abra de Ilog, Caminawit, Lubang, Tilik, Looc, Magsaysay border, and  Airport. They are said to be the ones to check on all the .

If a fully vaccinated individual is diagnosed with COVID-19, he or she will still be subjected to mandatory quarantine at the LGU’s isolation facility.

Travelers who are fully vaccinated can also enter  City even if they do not show a negative  result.

This ordinance implemented by the provinces is in accordance with IATF Resolution 124-B on July 2, which authorizes inter-zonal travel for fully vaccinated individuals.
