Fanny Serrano dies at 72

According to social media postings of Filipino fashion designers, celebrity makeup artist and stylist Fanny Serrano has died at the age of 72.

“GOOD BYE TITA FANNY SERRANO THANK YOU FOR YOUR WORDS AND THE WORDS OF LORD JESUS YOU SHARE WITH US. YOU WILL BE MISS BY YOUR DESIGNERS CIRCLE PHILIPPINES FAMILY!! LOVE YOU TF YOU ARE A FRIEND, A MENTOR, A BROTHER TO ME. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!” fashion designer Dave Ocampo posted on May 11, 2022.

Domz Ramos, a swimwear designer, also paid tribute to Fanny.

“I love you Tita Fanny REST IN PEACE. Thank you for trusting me to be your stylist when I was starting in the industry. YOU WILL BE FOREVER IN MY HEART!!!!” Ramos said.

Meanwhile, the Twitter handle of Paco Evangelista said, “One of the Philippines fashion pillars and designer extraordinaire has passed on. We don’t know each other personally, but I have known him for as long as I can remember. Rest in peace Fanny Serrano.”

“The LGBTQ Community, whole fashion and pageant industry mourns the sudden demise of renowned makeup artist, designer, and actor FELIX MARIANO FAUSTO JR or popularly known as Tita Fanny Serrano. May He rest in peace,” another group said.

Fanny Serrano dies at 72

Fanny, whose true name is Felix Mariano Fausto Jr., suffered a severe stroke in March 2021, according to Megastar Sharon Cuneta, one of his closest pals.

Sharon was in tears as she asked for prayers and healing for Fanny on Instagram.

“But THIS IS NOT the end I want for you…I know it is all God’s call and His decision, but I wish you weren’t in this situation. I truly have no words to say…there are just no words for how painful this is for me and the others who love you,” she added.

She also lambasted those who are spreading fake  that celebrity stylist Fanny Serano is already dead.

“Buhay pa siya (he’s still alive). And to those who have nothing better to do, this is not the time to be assholes okay? Sorry pero ang sasama nyo (but you’re mean)!” she wrote in the caption in March 2021.
