Ex-boyfriend kills missing Fil-Am in California – police

The death of a 24-year-old Filipino-American who had been missing since late January 2022 has been confirmed by the Oakley Police Department.

Alexis Gabe was reported missing while driving to her ex-boyfriend’s place in Antioch. On January 26, 2022, her family discovered her vehicle with the engine still running on a dead-end street in Oakley.

Marshall Curtis Jones, Gabe’s ex-boyfriend, was identified as a suspect in the death based on digital and forensic evidence by the Antioch Police Department.

Jones is seen abandoning the victim’s vehicle on CCTV footage collected by investigators on January 26. Gabe’s cellphone case, which was recovered not far from his home, also had Jones’ fingerprint on it.

Jones was arrested and charged with murder as a result of this. He was later apprehended in Seattle but was slain when he attempted to fight off the arresting officers.

Gabe is suspected of having been murdered at Jones’ rented home, according to the Oakley Police Department, but the manner in which she was murdered and the cause for her murder have yet to be identified.

Gabe’s body has also yet to be discovered, and the police have offered a $100,000 reward for any information leading to her discovery.

Authorities have also taken control of several of the suspect’s electronic devices. Investigators hope that forensic and digital investigations of these things will reveal information about Gabe’s whereabouts.

Jones was Gabe’s first boyfriend, according to her relatives.

Robredo has no plans to work in government yet

Vice President Leni Robredo has no plans to enter any government office.

According to Attorney Ibarra Gutierrez, Robredo’s spokesperson, Robredo will not accept any position in the government first because her attention is now focused on the smooth end of her term.

Robredo’s camp’s statement was made when it was announced that it would be given a position in the Marcos administration.

“Well, that question is hard to answer since she is yet to be offered a government post. But for now, her focus ay ang maayos na pagtatapos ng kaniyang termino. ‘Yung kaniyang pagkakaroon ng maayos na transition at pagsasara ng lahat na programa ng OVP under her leadership,” said Gutierrez.

He said Robredo is also focused on being a private citizen who will act as part of a civil society that will try to continue serving the people.
