An events planner is facing a complaint after allegedly scamming a couple on their wedding, according to a report by John Consulta in Unang Balita on Monday.
Probably out of resentment, the bride Celine Disaula fainted and was rushed to the hospital while at the reception.
“Hindi dumating yung mga bagay na inaasahan po namin (the things we expected did not arrive),” said the groom Jurie Mondigo.
Amidst the wedding commotion and complaints of the suppliers, the police arrived and arrested the events planner.
“Ang sabi sa amin ng wedding coordinator, na-short daw siya sa bayad sa kanyang supplier. According to her, nagamit niya ‘yung pera na binigay ng couple na para dapat sa suppliers niya,” said Police Major Silver Cabanillas, chief of Siniloan Police.
(The wedding coordinator told us that he was short of payment to her supplier. So, according to her, she used the money given by the couple to pay her suppliers.)
According to the arrested events planner, she will only answer the allegations lawfully, ready to face the accusations.
Meanwhile, the bride has been released from the hospital and is recovering at their home.
The couple is preparing to file an estafa case against the suspect.
Couple dead in accident in Tagkawayan, Quezon
The motorcycle rider died on the spot while his rider died on arrival at the hospital after being hit by a delivery van on Quirino Highway, Barangay Santa Cecilia, Tagkawayan, Quezon around 8 pm this Sunday.
Based on the Tagkawayan Municipal Police Station report, the motorcycle was heading in the direction of Manila while the delivery van was heading to Bicol.
The motorcycle allegedly overtook another vehicle, causing them to hit the oncoming delivery van.
With the intensity of the impact, the front delivery van and the motorcycle were destroyed.
The victims were identified as Policarpio Oliva and his wife Delia Oliva, all residents of Del Gallego, Camarines Sur.
The driver of the delivery van, Orlando Jualo, was also injured. He was rushed to the hospital and is currently receiving treatment.
Jualo faces charges of reckless imprudence resulting to homicide and damage to property.
