Duterte denies destabilization plot against President Marcos

The Philippine National Police (PNP) is looking for those behind the alleged destabilization plot against President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. at the same time the PNP and the Armed Forces of the Philippines rejected the report that they no longer have confidence in the administration.

According to PNP Public Information Office chief and Spokesman PCol. Jean Fajardo, they are having the PNP-Anti Cybercrime Group investigate the source of a social media post.

In the said post it is stated that the police are on full alert status due to the alleged destabilization attempt by the AFP and PNP.

“Sino namang g****** pulis o military ang makipag-meeting sa akin to destab…”Bakit hindi ko ginawa ‘yan when I was at the height of my… naging presidente na ako. Para saan? Upang ilagay ang ibang tao bilang kapalit ni Marcos?” said Duterte.

Duterte also said that he is comfortable with Marcos and there is no reason to change him.

Duterte reacted to last week’s report by AFP Chief Gen Romeo Brawner Jr. with a destabilization plan against Marcos. However, this was clarified by AFP spokesperson Col. Medel Aguilar, who said the AFP chief was “misquoted.”
