Health Sec Francisco Duque said that he feels the decrease in cases in Metro Manila-based on the recorded transaction of the One Hospital Command Center.
“Ang mga araw-araw na transaksyon na tinatanggap ng One Hospital Command ay talagang bumababa na at nagkaroon po ng average na mga 284 transactions kada araw,” the secretary said on Wednesday.
“At ang pinakamataas po na amin pong naobserbahan na bilang ng transaksyon ay 4 — 547 noon pong Agosto, ika-31 ng Agosto. But of course, dito nakita na lang dito inumpisahan sa September, 367 at makikita po natin as of October 6 ay nasa 208 transactions ang natanggap ng One Hospital Command.”
“Positivity rate ng atin pong mga kaso ay bumaba na rin po to 18% of all cases or all tests ang positivity rate ay nasa 18%. Nanggaling po ito sa mataas umabot hanggang 27%. So again . . . ito po ay senyal na talagang nag-umpisa na po ang pagbaba ng atin pong mga kaso,” he suggested.
It may be recalled that the DOH had earlier said that it was possibly “artificial” or untrue that COVID-19 cases were declining due to several factors, such as the declining capacity of testing laboratories in recent days.

Meanwhile, Defense Sec. Delfin Lorenzana said that some hospitals are being relaxed and no longer need more health workers.
Older people were then ordered by President Duterte to the Armed Forces of the Philippines to first place some of their medical workers in some hospitals in Metro Manila due to the lack of health care workers who will focus on patients affected by COVID-19.
According to vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr, about 60 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine will be allocated for youth.
According to Galvez, 12.7 million young people aged 12 to 17, but the total number of “children population” will reach 29 million.
“Phased” pediatric vaccinations are scheduled to occur starting October 15 in the country, with priority to ages 15 to 17 with comorbidity.
