Police arrested the alleged leader and five others of the fugitives who fled the Caloocan custodial facility early Thursday morning.
Based on the latest information from Police Col. Dario Menor, chief of the Caloocan PNP, they caught the following fugitives in the manhunt operation:
- Arnel Buccat (leader)
- Reymark Delos Reyes
- Harris Danacao
- Mark Oliver Gamuta
- Aldwin Jhoe Espila
- Reynaldo Bantiling
They are still searching for the remaining seven fugitives:
- Norberto Alvarez
- Hudson Jeng
- Martin Mama
- Jovel Toledo jr
- Gerrymar Petilla
- Justine Tejeros
- Raymond Balasa
According to police, Buccat’s group allegedly planned to escape from jail on Monday. They slowly destroyed a part of the wall in the restroom of the jail until they escaped.
So far, the two policemen assigned to the said Caloocan temporary facility have also been fired.
According to NCR Police Chief Debold Sinas, he has already ordered various districts’ chiefs to carefully inspect their detention facilities to ensure that such incidents do not happen again.
He also calls on the relatives of other wanted fugitives to cooperate with them.

‘Peryahan ng Bayan’ outlet closed down in Muntinlupa
The business permits and licensing office (BPLO) of Muntinlupa City closed an outlet of Peryahan ng Bayan in Bgy. Tunasan due to illegal operation on Wednesday.
According to the city’s public information office, the gambling facility was caught violating the health protocols, so the BPLO went with the barangay and the Public Order and Safety Office.
It was found that the operation of the outlet continued even without the corresponding permits.
According to the Southern Police District, authorities arrested 14 cabo, checkers, and cashiers at the outlet who were found remitting money and lastillas or betting lists.
In all, 11 men and 3 women were arrested.
The lastillas and the estimated amount of more than P9,000 were also confiscated.
According to the SPD, those working at the outlet did not show a local business permit.
The Muntinlupa City PIO added that the establishment does not permit the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) or the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The operation of Peryahan ng Bayan or also known as Peryahan Games remains suspended after being stopped by the PCSO in February.
