Arias was allegedly attacked in Purok Dos in Barangay Tungan-Tungan, Valencia City. Based on the police investigation, the suspect bit his eye and hand and allegedly sucked blood from the victim’s wound.

The victim survived only when his neighbors came to the rescue.

The incident spread on social media, and rumors surfaced that it was a zombie attack.

But according to the police, this is not true because the suspect has just been released from drug rehabilitation.

It was also found out that there was a fight between the suspect and his partner, so it is possible that this pushed the suspect to commit the crime.

“Walang zombie. Ang nangyari ay may isang tao na medyo nawalan at the time sa kaniyang tamang kaisipan because sane person don’t do that na bigla na lang nangangagat at hihigupin ang dugo,” said Olaivar.

“What happened siguro, I am not sure pero sa history niya na galing na siya sa rehabilitation, alam naman natin kung ano ang ill effects ng droga,” he added.
