The daughter and niece of an active police officer were discovered dead on the cliffside of Sitio Inonas, Barangay Taloy Sur, Benguet, on Monday, October 31.
Staff Sergeant Albert Peralta Quiros of the Pozorrubio Municipal Police Station in Pangasinan confirmed the victims as his 19-year-old daughter Andrea Rabara Quiros and his 16-year-old niece Anika Columbiano Principe, both of San Vicente, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan.
When he went to the Tuba Municipal Police Station on November 1, he positively identified the victims.
At approximately 1:30 p.m. on October 31, a concerned citizen informed the police that the remains of two women were discovered on the edge of a cliff.
Their hands were bound, and their mouths were taped shut.
When they vanished, the victims were together.
The police are undertaking a thorough investigation to determine what happened to the victims.

Security guard in Parañaque arrested for allegedly raping his wife’s niece
A security guard was arrested after allegedly raping his wife’s minor niece, according to a report by Nico Waje in Unang Balita this Thursday.
The suspect started crying when the police arrested him at his place of employment in Parañaque City.
The suspect has six counts of rape. In the police record, he allegedly raped his wife’s minor niece. In addition, he is also no. 4 most wanted by the Parañaque police.
The suspect denied the accusation against him. He said he could not do this especially since his wife took care of the alleged victim.
“Nag-background check kami sa kaniya upon issuing ng warrant of arrest. Ininterview din natin ‘yung biktima niya and nakakuha tayo ng konting tip,” said Police Major Edwin Lacostales, chief of Investigation Division of Parañaque City Police.
The suspect added that it is possible that the boy’s parents were just angry because he once raised his hand when he answered his wife.
If something happened to the child, it is impossible that he was the perpetrator.
“Ang lumabas sa medico legal ay nagalaw siya mula November hanggang December, eh nung November lumipat kami ng bahay,” the suspect said.
