A 10-year-old child just cried when he told how a thief stole his cellphone he used in an online class and P800 income that he worked hard for in Calasiao, Pangasinan.
In a report by Russel Simorio on GMA Regional TV “Balitang Amianan” on Monday, it was said that the thief who identified himself as a barangay worker and a friend of her grandmother approached the child.
The boy was taken to a place and the suspect took his cellphone, the P800 he earned from selling lumpia, as well as his food.
The thief later said he would call his grandmother but he did not show up.
The child said he worked hard for several months to buy the cellphone the suspect stole from him.
“Sana kung nakikita n’yo ‘to ‘wag n’yo na pong ulitin sa iba po,” the child said.
Police are already conducting an investigation and are looking for CCTV that can help identify the thief.

DA chief Dar will not resign despite criticism due to pork issue
Agriculture Secretary William Dar has stated that he will not step down in the midst of calls for him to resign, especially as some groups blame him for the ongoing “crisis” in the country’s poultry and pig supply.
It will be recalled that hog raisers and other agri groups criticized Dar and the Department of Agriculture (DA) for allegedly not listening to them.
“Binabalanse natin ‘yung kapakanan… First priority ang local hog producers at alam naman ninyo ang dami namin programa diyan. Itong ASF nandiyan pa so tuloy-tuloy ang pagpuksa natin, meron na tayong elevated response. I will continue to serve… at the pleasure of the President,” said Dar.
Dar also vehemently denied the allegation that importing was the only solution to the perceived crisis in the industry.
The price ceiling is currently being implemented at the price of pork and chicken.
The secretary said it is expected that the price of pork and chicken will gradually return to normal because supplies are coming soon.
