Chavit Singson to run against son for vice governor of Ilocos Sur

The family will fight for the upcoming Election of 2022 in Ilocos Sur. In the position of vice-governor, Chavit Singson will run against his son Ryan Luis.

In a report by Ivy Hernando on GMA Regional TV “Balitang Amianan” on Friday, it was said that Ryan, his wife Patch Savellano-Singson, and father-in-law Representative Deogracias Victor “DV” have filed their respective certificates of candidacy (COS). Savellano.

Ryan’s wife Patch will run for the provincial governor in the election.

Ryan is the current governor of Ilocos Sur in his third and final term.

But in the coming election, he will aim for the position of vice-governor.

Ryan’s father-in-law, incumbent 1st District Representative DV Savellano, is again a candidate for the said position.

DV will face another son of Chavit Singson, Ronald, in the congressmanship.

“I think we have done a lot, we still have a lot to do, for them to evaluate if we are worthy of the position we are hoping for,” said DV.

Chavit’s brother Jerry will be Patch’s opponent for the governor’s position.

Jerry is currently the province’s vice governor, who will run for Chavit, facing son Ryan.

“The father must be obeyed, not the son. My son seems to have a horn. So he can’t do anything,” said Chavit Singson.
