“Habaan natin ang ating pasensiya dahil marami tayong na-encounter sa daan, mainit ang ulo natin… consider natin ang safety when traveling sa highway,” said Police Lt. Col. Alexy Sonido, chief of Quezon City Police District Station 6 (Batasan).

The video of people blocking a bus on Commonwealth Avenue went viral on social media recently after its driver Andy Nicolas allegedly beat rider Omar Patahasa Jr.

The video of the incident, which happened on Sunday, showed Patahasa was bloody.

According to Sonido, the 2 motorists did not give way, and Nicolas pushed Patahasa Jr., so when the rider confronted the bus driver, it hit him with a pipe.

Because many saw what had happened, motorists worked together to block the bus so Nicolas could not escape.

Batasan police arrested Nicolas, who was charged with reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries but could post bail.

Patahasa, who underwent surgery due to the incident, continues to recover at the hospital.

Meanwhile, Batasan police arrested 29-year-old Alfredo Reyes III after killing his father for allegedly repeatedly reprimanding him.

The crime took place in 2014, but the suspect went into hiding, according to police.

Reyes, considered one of the “most wanted” in Quezon City, admitted that he did it because his father allegedly hurt him.

Meanwhile, a pilot survived after the spray plane he was driving crashed in Barangay Pangi in this town Wednesday morning.

During the Maco police investigation, pilot Capt. Rotillo Fuentez was conducting aerial spraying on the banana plantation at Farm 1 of the Marsman company when the spray plane he was driving suddenly crashed into the engine.

Fuentez had difficulty controlling the plane, which had body number AGVAN RP R4416, causing it to crash.

The pilot sustained no injuries or scars, but 47 new banana plants were damaged.
