AirAsia announced Tuesday its P8 promotional base fares for Boracay flights following the island’s reopening to tourists nationwide on Thursday.
AirAsia said in an advisory said it would offer P8 base fares for select Boracay flights booked from Tuesday, September 29 to Sunday, October 4.
The promo would only cover flights for travel between October 1, 2020, to June 30, 2021.
Those who wish to avail the Boracay flights promo should use code BORA8, which also offers SNAP deals of up to 30% off on flights.
“The reopening of Boracay is a great step forward in jumpstarting the travel and tourism industry of the Philippines,” said AirAsia Philippines chief executive officer Ricky Isla.
Beginning Friday, October 2, flights from Manila leave for Caticlan at 12:35 pm every Wednesday and arrive at 1:40 pm.
More flights would be allowed to leave every Wednesday and Friday starting October 7, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday beginning October 11.

Meanwhile, Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque announced Monday that tourists aged 21 years old and below and 60 years old above could also visit Boracay Island starting October 1.
Boracay tourists would need to present a negative PCR coronavirus test result 48 to 72 hours before their trip. They also need to register online with any of the authorized resorts and establishments the DOT has certified, Romulo-Puyat said.
The acting mayor of Malay, Aklan, reiterated that tourists visiting Boracay beaches must wear a face mask.
“Sa labas, sa beach area, mayroon dapat. You have to wear face mask. Kung maligo, puwede naman (alisin) ‘yun but as long as you’re in [a] public area, dapat may face mask talaga,” Bautista said in a television interview on ANC.
