Bongbong Marcos family tested negative of COVID-19; results released after 24 hours

The wife of former senator Bongbong Marcos shared their entire household tested negative of COVID-19, citing the results were released 24 hours after they got tested.

The average turnaround time for the COVID-19 test ranges from days to weeks, causing many PUIs to die before knowing they were infected.

“Yesterday, we had ourselves and our entire staff tested for COVID-19. Fortunately, we all tested NEGATIVE,” wrote Marcos’ wife, lawyer Liza Araneta-Marcos, in a statement on Thursday.

She also denied rumors in social media that Bongbong’s lungs collapsed and was intubated. Rumors also say that Marcos Jr. flew to Singapore using a private plane of Ilocos politician Chavit Singson.

Araneta-Marcos also said, “He is not dying. Nor is he dead… he is at home and very much alive.”

An X-ray result with St. Luke’s Medical Center header and with Bongbong’s name circulated online. It said the former senator suffered pneumonia.

Marcos’ sister Senator Imee Marcos said earlier her brother is “unwell” but at home and was still waiting for his COVID-19 test results.

Imee was one of the senators who allegedly got VIP testing for herself and her family despite being asymptomatic.

“He came from Spain unwell. Finally got a test two night ago, getting better at home, but there is no result yet,” said Imee.
