Bomb threat hits Philippine College of Criminology

A bomb threat hits the Philippine College of Criminology on Monday, January 20, 2020, causing classes to be suspended, according to its official Facebook page.

Police, however, declared the entire campus bomb free after conducting an inspection.

“Please be informed that after the inspection conducted by the PNP, the entire campus has been declared bomb free. Further investigation by the Intelligence Unit of the PNP is currently being undertaken to track the origin of the message,” said Philippine College of Criminology regarding the bomb threat.

It also announced, “Regular classes and office work will resume tomorrow, January 21, 2020.”

The Philippine College of Criminology (PCCR) is a college located in Manila, Philippines.

Former Supreme Court Justice Felix Angelo Bautista founded the Philippine College of Criminology in 1954. It is the pioneer school of criminology for scientific crime detection and police science education in the Philippines.

The school currently offers doctorate, master and bachelor’s degrees in criminology, and a high school diploma. It also conducts review classes for Licensure Examinations in Criminology.

4 Chinese nationals try to abduct female teenager in Makati

Police arrested four Chinese nationals who allegedly tried to abduct an 18-year-old female in Makati.

According to the victim under the name “Gella,” one of the suspects held her arm and tried to take her inside a taxi in Einstein Street, Barangay San Isidro.

She said she resisted and fought, which called the attention of the barangay security who then chased the suspects.

Authorities arrested the four Chinese nationals, but their other two companions escaped.

The suspects are living in nearby city Pasay and are aged 22 to 28
