Lifeless body of 4-year-old child found inside washing machine

Due to the pungent smell, the body of a boy was discovered inside a washing machine in Las Piñas City. The suspect is a minor relative of the victim.

In a report by Mariz Umali on GMA News “24 Oras” this Monday, it was said that the body of the four-year-old victim was already decomposing when found in the washing machine inside the room of the 15-year-old suspect, the boy’s uncle.

The washing machine covered and stacked with books is no longer used.

According to authorities, the victim was reported missing in the barangay on Friday. That same day, the suspect allegedly sent pictures of the child to one of their relatives.

There are photos with a time stamp of 3:53 pm that the victim is already inside the bucket. It is said that there are also shots that show delicate and brutal things done to the victim.

Based on the results of the autopsy on the victim’s body, the child suffered blunt traumatic injuries or severe head damage caused by a blow, which resulted in his death.

The mother of the suspect herself discovered the victim’s corpse due to a foul odor, and she was the one who turned in her own child.

“Pagtingin niya may kumalabog, ayun po yung bata wala nang malay. Ang ginawa niya po binuhat niya yung bata sa taas, nilagay niya sa washing [machine],” she said.

The suspect was charged with murder in relation to RA 7610, also known as the anti-child abuse law, last Monday.

According to the police, the case against the suspect is strong, partly due to what appears to be a confession made by the suspect in a social media post expressing remorse for his actions.

According to Police Colonel Jaime Santos, the head of Las Piñas Police, their investigation revealed that the suspect had a penchant for watching foreign films about serial killers and sexual offences.

Santos said the suspect also admitted to participating in the crime.

But since the suspect is a minor, he is in the custody of the City Social Welfare Office. According to Santos, the prosecution of the suspect will be suspended until he reaches the age of 18.

The victim’s grandfather is determined to hold the suspect accountable.
