Bodies of man and woman found on road in Quezon City

The bodies of a woman and a man were found in Barangay Mariana in Quezon City Wednesday night.

A dead woman was found at the corner of 6th Street and Broadway Avenue in Barangay Mariana.

According to the police who responded, some saw a pick-up coming from the Aurora Boulevard area and heading in the direction of E Rodriguez Avenue dropped the woman who appeared to be still breathing.

A few meters away from the woman, a car stopped, and its driver also appeared dead. The vehicle stopped at the corner of 5th Street and Broadway Ave, which also faces in the direction of E. Rodriguez.

Police are still looking for video from CCTV cameras around the crime scene. Scene of the Crime Operatives also arrived to inspect the area and investigate the incident.

Broadway Street from 5th Street to 6th Street has been closed for investigation.

Meanwhile, a man died after being shot by an unidentified armed assailant in Matanao town, Davao del Sur, Tuesday night.

Police identified the victim as Raymond Mula Samling, 31, of Barangay Colonsabac in Matanao.

The victim was on his way to the neighboring town of Kiblawan, and when he arrived at Purok Bird of Paradise in Barangay La Suerte, he stopped and parked his motorcycle.

According to eyewitnesses, the victim was supposed to urinate but was suddenly shot several times by the armed assailant.

Samling sustained multiple bullet wounds to his head which caused his death.

Four empty .45 caliber and 9mm guns were recovered at the crime scene.

The police investigation is ongoing to identify those responsible for the crime.

Chinese arrested for selling shabu in Cagayan

A Chinese national was arrested in Santa Ana, Cagayan, on Wednesday morning for allegedly pushing shabu.

According to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 2, they launched a -bust operation on 38-year-old businessman Lijun “Kevin” Cao after receiving information about his illegal .

Police seized 34 pieces of heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, including the one the suspect sold to a PDEA agent who pretended to be a poseur buyer.
