Blacklisted Chinese man arrested at NAIA 3

A blacklisted Chinese national was arrested by immigration officers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Bureau of Immigration (BI) officers identified the man as Zhou Xingxing, 31, who attempted to depart for Guangzhou, China on Sunday.

Zhou was found to be the subject of a January 2023 order to leave from the BI for overstaying, and working for an online gaming company with an expired Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) license.

Upon arrest, Zhou was turned over to the BI’s Border Control and Intelligence Unit for processing. Subsequently, he was handed over to the Legal Division to undergo booking procedures.

He will be transferred to the BI Warden Facility situated inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig. He will remain in custody pending the implementation of his deportation, following the completion of legal proceedings.

BI Commissioner Norman Tansingco reiterated the BI’s unwavering commitment to upholding Philippine immigration laws.

“The Bureau remains vigilant and steadfast in ensuring that individuals complying with our laws are welcomed, while those who violate our regulations are held accountable,” he affirmed.

2 Chinese nationals and a Pinay arrested for alleged prostitution in Pasay

Two Chinese nationals and a Filipina who run an alleged prostitution den in Pasay City were arrested.

In Nico Waje’s report on “24 Oras Weekend” this Saturday, the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) raided a condominium unit in Pasay after the Department of Information and Communications Technology – Cybercrime Investigation and Coordination Center of the (DICT) discovered -CICC) is the alleged illegal practice in the area.

It is said that some women are trafficked in an online messaging application to entertain customers.

“There were some reports kasi of a lot of text blasting coming from this area. Hinanap natin kung nasaan, dito natin nakita ‘yan,” said Assistant Secretary Mary Rose Magsaysay, Deputy Executive Director, DICT-CICC.

From P4,000 to P16,000 is paid to women.

Authorities rescued 13 Filipinas from the condo where they were staying.

“As part of the evidence na gagamitin natin dito, of course ‘yung mga transaction na nakuha natin, and then ‘yung mga usapan sa mga chat groups nila. Almost 100% ng mga nagca-cater dito sa prostitution den na ito ay karamihan Chinese,” said PAOCC Executive Director Gilbert Cruz.
