Morente said he issued the mission order for Toyama’s arrest after he was recently informed by the Japanese authorities of his crimes.

Upon verification of his records, it was found that Toyama is already an overstaying and undocumented alien.

“We received information about his crimes last week, and we immediately conducted a manhunt to locate and arrest him,” said Morente. “He will be deported for being an undesirable, overstaying and undocumented alien, and his name will be included in our blacklist to prevent him from re-entering the country,” the BI Chief added.

The 9 are reportedly part of a syndicate involved in telecom fraud and extortion, who were arrested in a hotel in  November 2019 by the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit. The arrest initially targeted two fugitives, but the operation yielded another 34 who were caught in the act of engaging their modus.
