BI agents nab American pedophile in Zamboanga

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced the arrest of an American pedophile wanted in the US for child molestation.

In a statement, Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente identified the American fugitive as 49-year-old Bradley John Moore, who was arrested Thursday, in Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte by operatives from the Bureau’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU).

The arresting agents were armed with a mission order from Morente who issued the same upon receiving information of his crimes from US authorities in Manila.

“We will send him back to the US immediately for him to face his crimes, after which he will be placed in our blacklist and banned from re-entering the country,” Morente said.

The BI Chief described Moore as an undesirable alien whose continued presence here poses a serious threat to Filipino children.

According to BI-FSU Acting Chief Rendel Ryan Sy, Moore is already an overstaying alien as records showed that he last arrived in Manila on December 6, 2020, and did not depart since then. His passport has likewise been cancelled already by the US government, making him an undocumented alien.

Sy said Moore is wanted to stand trial before a district court in McKinney, Texas which issued warrants for his arrest.

Meanwhile, BI also arrested an Indian national for illegally engaging in a money-lending business in Cavite last week.

BI Intelligence Division Chief Fortunato Manahan Jr., identified the Indian as Bahg Singh, 48, who was arrested by operatives of the BI Intelligence Division Regional Intelligence Operation Unit IV-A and IV-B on Friday, in Brgy. Inchican in Silang, Cavite.

Singh was arrested pursuant to a mission order issued by BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, after receiving a formal complaint reporting the Indian’s illegal activities.
