As he wrapped up his campaign in Mindanao, presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr remarked that voting for the UniTeam is a vote for unity and love of the country.
As he campaigned in the Duterte clan’s home turf of Davao, Marcos emphasized his plea for unity, which was a recurring topic in his three-month campaign speeches.
“Ang pagboto ninyo sa tambalang Marcos-Duterte, ang pagboto ninyo sa lahat ng senador ng UniTeam, ay ang tinig ng inyong… ng ating mga kababayan, ang tinig ng madlang Pilipino na kayo ay bumoboto para sa kinabukasan,” BBM said.
“Kayo ay bumoboto para sa pagkakaisa, kayo ay bumoboto para sa bawat pangkaraniwang mamamayang Pilipino, kayo ay bumoboto sa ating pagkakaisa. Ang boto ninyo para kay Marcos at Duterte at sa UniTeam ay ang boto para sa pagmamahal ng Pilipinas,” he added.
According to Marcos, unity is the first step toward the country’s recovery from the pandemic, emphasizing once again that his partnership with Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio symbolizes unity. However, he hails from the north and she from the south.
Marcos again repeated his request for his supporters to “guard” their votes in his address, possibly pointing to his loss in the 2016 vice-presidential elections to Vice President Leni Robredo, who is now trailing him in the presidential race.

“Basta’t bantayan niyo yung boto sa Lunes, walang tulugan. Hihingi tayo sa lahat ng kaibigan natin ng maraming maraming kape para walang matulog dahil alam naman natin kapag tayo ay natulog maraming nangyayari na di kanais-nais,” Marcos said.
Marcos is the presidential candidate of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas and Sara Duterte’s running mate.
Since then, the former senator has dominated presidential polls, including the most recent one from Pulse Asia.
Marcos has called for Filipino unity in his campaign rallies, believing that this will solve the country’s problems.
The UniTeam Alliance is an electoral alliance formed for the 2022 Philippine general election. Created on November 29, 2021, the coalition is composed of supporters of the candidacies of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte in the 2022 presidential and vice-presidential elections.
