Using red paint, words saying “PRESYO, IBABA! SAHOD, ITAAS! – PS”; “DIGMAANG BAYAN SAGOT SA MARTIAL LAW – PS” and “ATIN ANG PINAS! US-CHINA LAYAS! – PS” was written.

The vandalized Lagusnilad post was also shared by the Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau on their Facebook accounts.

According to the Manila Tourism and Cultural Affairs Bureau, the situation is frustrating because the local government is doing its best to organize and improve Lagusnilad.

Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) leader Nur Misuari had a meeting with President Rodrigo Duterte last night at the Malacañang Palace to discuss the peace committee creation, according to Senator Bong Go.

In the photos Senator Go sent to the media, it showed the MNLF founder Nur Misuari and Duterte shaking hands and even posing president’s famous “iron fist.”

The two leaders agreed to create a GPH-MNLF coordinating body.

The Malacañang Palace earlier said the GPH-MNLF coordinating committee “will serve as a venue to seek for the cooperation of the MNLF to achieve immediate peace in Sulu by, among others, helping in combating the Abu Sayyaf Group and convincing MNLF relatives to return to the folds of the law.”

The president and Misuari will meet again next month at Duterte’s hometown Davao City.

The Toledo City local government is already investigating a poultry farm that believed to be the source of fly infestation in the two barangays in Toledo City, Cebu.

Residents in two villages have complained about the thousands of flies that cause people to become ill.

Emil Oberes owned the poultry farm, which allegedly caused the fly infestation in Toledo City, Cebu. However, Oberes vehemently denied the allegations.

Jerry Oberes, son of the owner of the poultry, said they are implementing proper sanitation at their facility. He also said they are open to any investigation.

It was learned that the poultry farm had been closed two years ago and reopened in September.

Apart from the village of Cambang-ug, fly infestation also affected nearby barangay General Climaco.

Authorities arrested a man who shot a bully in Cebu City on Sunday.

Police caught Rolando Toradio, 37, who admitted the crime and said he had enough of victim 47-year-old Amador Santing’s bullying.

Toradio said Santing had ridiculed him and called him crazy for about a month.

Santing is in critical condition after the shooting happened on Sunday morning. The suspect shot his bully in the head.

Police said the suspect was intoxicated.

According to the suspect’s husband, Toradio was on drugs.

53 NPA members surrender to military in Nueva Ecija

Fifty-three members of the New People’s Army (NPA) surrendered to authorities in Carranglan, Nueva Ecija.

According to Lt. Col. Honorato Pascual Jr., of the Philippine Army Infantry Battalion (IB), the rebels said they were already tired of what they were doing.

The mass surrender was the result of joint efforts of the 84th IB, 7th Civil-Military Operations Battalion, Barangay Peace and Order Council, and Barangay Task Force.

By surrendering, the former NPA members in Nueva Ecija can receive the same benefits as the government gives to the rebels who yielded.

Chinese extorts fellow Chinese arrested in Manila

A Chinese national was arrested who allegedly extorted fellow Chinese in Malate, Manila, on Friday morning.

The MPD-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) conducted an entrapment operation against the 33-year-old suspect after the victim filed a complaint to the police.

The 26-year-old victim and operator of Philippine offshore gaming operations (POGO) and the suspect met on social media app WeChat.

The suspect threatened to abduct the victim if he does not give money.

The suspect initially demanded ¥ 2 million or P14 million but was unsatisfied and asked for an additional P200,000 to be paid each week.

As a result, the Chinese victim has already reported to the police and has arranged to meet with the suspect in front of a hotel in Malate, Manila.

The suspect took the bait, which resulted in his arrest.

According to the police investigation, the suspect is a member of a syndicate group that targets POGO operators.

The suspect will face a robbery-extortion case. The police are still investigating if anyone else has been victimized.
