The National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (NDRRMC) is taking care of residents living in areas that have been subjected to red and orange warnings due to the continuous rains caused by typhoon Fabian.
Based on the weather advisory issued by PAGASA, the provinces of Bataan and Zambales are on red warning where serious flooding is likely to be experienced, especially in flood-prone areas.
The rain may last until the weekend.
While Metro Manila and Cavite are on Orange warning, there is a high probability of floods and landslides.
The provinces of Tarlac, Pampanga, Batangas, and Bulacan are on yellow warning.
While Nueva Ecija, Laguna, Rizal, and Quezon provinces will experience light to moderate with occasional heavy rains.
Meanwhile, landslides were recorded in some barangays in Olongapo City during the heavy rains on Wednesday.
Since Tuesday, officials of Barangay Kalaklan in Olongapo City have notified residents of Purok 3 Upper to evacuate due to landslides recorded in the area that could pose a danger to residents.
The evacuees were taken to Sergia Soriano Integrated School 1, while it was not yet certain that they were safe from danger.

Meanwhile, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) also reminded motorists to be careful when traveling because the roads are slippery to avoid accidents.
Some areas in Metro Manila experienced flooding yesterday due to the incessant rains.
On Pagasa’s 11 am advisory, the storm had wind speeds of up to 150 km per hour and gusts of 185 km per hour.
Meanwhile, Typhoon Fabian maintains its strength as it moves west-southwestward over the Sea of SouthEast of Miyako Islands.
The center of the eye of Typhoon “FABIAN” was estimated based on all available data at 530 km Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
Fabian will move generally westward or west-southwestward today (22 July), then generally north-northwestward for the remainder of the forecast period. On the forecast track, the typhoon will pass close or make landfall in the vicinity of Miyako, Yaeyama, and Senkaku Islands in the southern Ryukyu Archipelago tomorrow (23 July).
Fabian is forecast to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility tomorrow evening or Saturday (24 July) morning.
