The police immediately arrested the suspect in the crime, three Chinese nationals and one Vietnamese.

According to the Movement for Restoration of Peace and Order (MRPO), this crime is the first in the past three years that the victim is not related to casinos, gambling, POGOs (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators), debt, or online scams.

“Ito, perpetrated by Chinese nationals, and the way they tortured the victim is exactly the same way they torture hostages na involved sa mga gambling,” said MRPO Founding President Teresita Ang-See.

It brings a lot of fear sa Chinoy community,” she added.

Meanwhile, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced the arrest of two foreign fugitives wanted by authorities in their countries for serious crimes.

Immigration Commissioner Norman Tansingco said the two aliens, a South Korean and a Chinese national, were arrested recently in separate operations conducted by the BI’s Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) in Pampanga and Manila.
