Alleged boyfriend of missing Catherine Camilon may be fired from service

Two administrative cases are facing the police regarding the alleged relationship of the missing beauty queen of Tuy, Batangas, Catherine Camilon.

In Glen Juego’s report on Super Radyo dzBB this Friday, Philippine National Police-Internal Affairs Service Inspector General Alfegar Triambulo said that among those facing Police Major Allan de Castro is a charge of conduct unbecoming of an officer.

This is the result of de Castro’s alleged relationship with Camilon even though he is already married.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Director Romeo Caramat said that de Castro admitted to PNP Chief General Benjamin Acorda Jr., his relationship with Camilon.

The case is said to be in summary dismissal proceedings which is expected to end this month.

The second administrative case facing de Castro is kidnapping and serious illegal detention in connection with the disappearance of Camilon, which is the same complaint filed against him by the PNP as one of the four persons of interest.

According to Triambulo, if de Castro is found guilty in the administrative case, the police officer will be fired from the service and all his benefits will be taken away.

This includes the loss of his retirement pay, and will no longer be allowed to work in the government.

In a previous report, Camarat said Acorda confronted de Castro at Camp Crame on Wednesday.

Although de Castro allegedly admitted to Acorda his relationship with Camilon, he chose to remain silent when asked if he had anything to do with the disappearance of the beauty contestant and teacher.

De Castro allegedly said that he was at the police office in Batangas the day Camilon disappeared.

The person of interest being sought is de Castro’s driver and bodyguard, who, according to two witnesses, saw a bloodied woman being transferred to a red SUV.

A red SUV was found abandoned in Batangas City, which is under examination to find out if it is the vehicle that was allegedly transferred to the bloodied woman suspected to be Camilon.
